This year, we're proud to announce that our chosen charity for 2026 is Brain Tumour Research.
Brain Tumours are among the most complex and challenging forms of cancer, yet they remain significantly underfunded. Like many cancers, they can affect anyone, at any age and the impact caused goes beyond the individual who's been diagnosed.
Despite this, progress in research has been slow:
- No new treatments have been developed in the past 20 years
- Less than 1% of national cancer research funding is allocated to brain tumours
- Brain tumours kill more children and adults under 40 than any other cancer
- 1 in 3 people know someone affected by a brain tumour
Turning a vision into action
Their vision is clear: to find a cure for all brain tumours. Central to this is their mission to increase annual investment to £35 million, enabling continued funding for their network of seven sustainable Brain Tumour Research Centres of Excellence across the UK.
Throughout 2026, we're aiming to raise £2,740 to help fund a full day of vital research for Brain Tumour Research.
We'll be supporting events such as Wear a Hat Day on the 27th of March, as well as hosting our own fundraisers. For example, later in the year, Nathan will be taking on an Iron Man in Pembrokshire, Wales, where he'll swim 2.4 miles, cycle 112 miles and run a full 26.2-mile marathon.
Dan Knowles, CEO of Brain Tumour Research, said: "Partnership and working together is the way forward if we are going to accelerate progress and ultimately find a cure for brain tumours. Support from organisations like Ignition is vital to helping us move closer to that goal. Being chosen as Charity of the Year by a leading marketing agency is an honour and a powerful endorsement of our mission. We are incredibly grateful for this opportunity and look forward to working closely with Ignition throughout 2026 to create a meaningful and impactful partnership."
We'll be sharing updates, milestones and fundraising efforts across our social channels: Instagram LinkedIn and JustGiving page throughout 2026 and we'd love for you to follow the journey, get involved and help us make an impact.
