Ignition shortlisted for Best Use of Social Media at The Race Media Awards

Daniel in disguise

We’ve got news! Ignition has been shortlisted for the Best Use of Social Media award at The Race Media Awards – and we couldn’t be more thrilled.

For this award, we’re shining a spotlight on our Daniel in Disguise campaign for Ford Performance, a fun and clever activation that showcased Daniel Ricciardo’s unique personality while highlighting Ford’s exceptional customer service.

Carrie Russell, founder of Ignition, said:

“As an independently owned agency, being shortlisted for our work with Ford Performance is a huge milestone for us. It’s a testament to the collaborative spirit and energy that drives everything we do. Social media is at the heart of today’s marketing, and we’re incredibly proud of the campaigns we create that connect with audiences – in this case, through humour.”

The Race Media Awards are known for celebrating the best in motorsport marketing, recognising agencies and campaigns that push boundaries and set new standards. To qualify for the Best Use of Social Media award, we needed to demonstrate the campaign's ability to generate engagement, attract new followers, and foster positive sentiment. Our Daniel in Disguise campaign ticked all the boxes, delivering an exciting mix of creativity, humour, and connection with the audience.

The winners will be announced at the awards ceremony in London on Wednesday, 29th January, and we’ll be there to cheer on all the amazing work from our industry.
